Fan favorite KOOZA to run October 19 to January 5
SANTA MONICA, Calif. (September 30, 2024) – In an ode to the city’s longstanding reputation as an arts and culture hub, Santa Monica is celebrating the joyous return of Cirque du Soleil: KOOZA to the iconic Big Top beside the Santa Monica Pier October 19, 2024 through January 5, 2025.
Santa Monica is recognized as the site of its first-ever United States performance back in 1987 and has welcomed Cirque du Soleil several times, most recently in 2014 with the production of Totem. KOOZA pays tribute to traditional circus productions with bold slapstick comedy and thrilling acrobatics.
“Cirque du Soleil’s eagerly-awaited return to Santa Monica speaks to our city’s vibrant arts and culture scene that we invite visitors and locals of all ages to enjoy,” said Misti Kerns, President/CEO of Santa Monica Travel & Tourism, “We are honored to welcome back KOOZA and its audiences marking a pivotal point in the ongoing economic recovery of the city’s essential tourism industry.”
Cirque du Soleil: KOOZA is an innovative journey through a zany kingdom told from the perspective of The Innocent, an endearing clown looking for his place in the world.
