No Kid Hungry, a national campaign dedicated to ending childhood hunger in America, will be hosting a Powered by Breakfast Pop Up Playground event on Tuesday, March 10, from 11am – 2pm at the Santa Monica Pier to raise awareness of the importance of school breakfast for kids.
\nThis experiential pop-up will be open to the public and take Angelenos through an interactive journey of how breakfast fuels a kid\u2019s future. As families enter the pop-up playground they will find a merry-go-round that directs them to one of five color-coded activities. These activities range from an oversized cereal bowl where students can jump in and dig into breakfast, to an interactive magnetic wall encouraging kids to dream big. These were designed to evoke aspirational feelings of what is possible for kids when they have access to breakfast every day. Attendees will then have a chance to join No Kid Hungry in standing up for kids by signing an Open Letter to America\u2019s children.
\nLos Angeles\u2019 own chef Valerie Gordon will be in attendance to chat about breakfast and demo a recipe. There will be a photo booth, dance station, swag, as well as product giveaways on-site.
