Spend a romantic evening with your loved ones at Santa Monica Symphony\u2019s Spring Concert as we present works\u00a0by\u00a0Wagner, Schubert and Brahms, three of the most prominent German and Austrian composers in the Romantic period. The evening begins with the brilliant sound of the horn and other brass instruments in\u00a0Prelude to Act III\u00a0of the opera\u00a0Lohengrin\u00a0by Richard Wagner. The vividly colorful instrumental timbre continues in the next piece, Franz Schubert\u2019s\u00a0Symphony No. 8 in B Minor, also known as his \u201cUnfinished Symphony\u201d. Closing the concert will be Johannes Brahms\u2019 powerful and dramatic\u00a0Piano Concerto No.1 in D-minor,\u00a0featuring internationally award-winning\u00a0Korean pianist\u00a0So-Mang Jeagal. The concert will be held at\u00a07:30 pm\u00a0on\u00a0Saturday, March 24, 2018\u00a0at Barnum Hall on the campus of Santa Monica High School.
