Fire Station 1 Groundbreaking

Join Santa Monica Fire Department and community members for a groundbreaking celebration for the new Fire Station 1. There will be food, music, giveaways, fire truck displays, a virtual reality tour of the new station, and more fun for all ages. Here’s a look at the planned festivities:
10 a.m.: Arts and crafts for kids at the current Fire Station 1, Santa Monica’s oldest station. Join firefighters for some art fun then at 10:45 a.m. join a community walk to the location of the new station for the main event!

11 a.m.: Official groundbreaking program to highlight the features of Santa Monica’s newest station followed by a whole lot of fun, including a BBQ, photo booth, fire trucks on display, music, community resources, and more!

Come take a virtual reality tour of the new station and learn what the new station will mean for Santa Monica. This is an event great for all ages (doesn’t everyone want to sit in a fire truck?).
