Museum Gala ’24 An Evening of Laughter, Food, Music and Libations
An evening benefitting the Santa Monica History Museum with Los Angeles culinary icons, Chef Susan Feniger (SOCALO), restaurateur Dena Samson (Rossoblu), Chef Sandra Cordero (XUNTOS), and Chef Johanna Laut (Cassia). Storytelling also takes center stage with a powerful, raw performance specially curated for the evening, highlighting the resilience and humor of survivors, thrivers, and justice warriors impacted by homelessness in Storyectomy UnHoused. Weaving together powerful narratives that truly matter, storytellers have undertaken six weeks of classes at The Crow comedy club, exploring performance, comedy, and story structure, empowering them to craft stories about their unhoused experiences.
Comedian and writer Nicole Blaine of The Crow comedy club will MC the evening, guiding us through stories, stand-up with Brooklyn Jones and music with the Freedom Singers (as seen on America’s Got Talent).
