Operando desde Clover Field, los Douglas World Cruisers del Servicio A\u00e9reo del Ej\u00e9rcito de los Estados Unidos \u2014Seattle, Chicago, Boston y Nueva Orleans\u2014 completaron un viaje de m\u00e1s de 27,553 millas, atravesando oc\u00e9anos, continentes y terrenos dif\u00edciles. Esta notable haza\u00f1a demostr\u00f3 su valent\u00eda y esp\u00edritu pionero, y culmin\u00f3 con un gran regreso a Santa M\u00f3nica en septiembre de 1924, donde 250 000 personas les dieron la bienvenida.
