Breath of the Divine Mother

Join us in celebration and healing of divine motherhood through the breath. There are many ways to relate to the Divine Mother, be she your actual physical mother, your chosen mother, the mother who chose you, the internal mother or someone beyond the confines of traditional motherhood. They are all accessible at this level of consciousness reached in our breath practice.

We begin with co-regulation practices to build a container around our community and then dive into an hour long active breath practice. Three-part breath upregulates the nervous system and floods the body with oxygen, sparking circulation of energy and allowing the body to process stored experiences. We wind down the breath into deep relaxation and then come out the other side into tender integration.
Bio: Sonya (she/her) has been an advocate for breath as a healing practice for over a decade, through her work in yoga, reiki and massage therapy. She began hosting breathwork sessions in the Spring of 2022 and now happily guides practitioners inward on their personal journeys. Sonya loves the way breathing can open people up to their self-healing processes and has a great trust in the human body’s capability to do so. She often jokes that breathing in group is akin to launching a spaceship, wherein our capacity to co-regulate heightens our ability to reach these healing spaces.
