3rd annual S.T.E.A.M. Machines Innovation Fair and Rube Goldberg Machine Competition

Welcome to LA’s 3rd Annual Rube Goldberg Contest and celebration of S.T.E.A.M. – Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. This collision of disciplines is paving the future of innovation. Come learn, play and make a day of it at the Pier, presented by Heal The Bay and Time Warner Cable’s Connect a Million Minds initiative.
Hundreds of middle school, high school and college students will compete during an Innovation Fair and Rube Goldberg Machine Contest at the iconic Santa Monica Pier. An innovation panel hosted by The Tomorrow Show’s Gray Bright features Google’s Diana Skaar, JPL’s Kristina Kipp and 18-yr-old Robotics Champion Cynthia Erenas. At the aquarium, Heal the Bay’s Santa Monica Pier Aquarium just below the Pier’s famous Carousel, guests are invited to pilot an underwater ROV mini-sub, invent with snap circuits and explore the touch tanks. The event is free and open to the public.
