Santa Monica Museums

In 2010, Santa Monica added a new museum to their cultural list of activities. The Santa Monica History Museum opened the doors to its new location on October 24, 2010. It is the first museum to display historical information on the art, culture and history of Santa Monica that has been carefully collected and preserved for years by the Santa Monica Historical Society.

In 2012, the city will also welcome The Museum of Flying which will be located in the south side of the Santa Monica Airport, directly adjacent to the DC-3 Aircraft Monument and park. The Museum will place heavy emphasis on Douglas Aircraft and the history of the Santa Monica Airport.
