Pacific Park provides two sets of bumper cars (one for younger children, one for older children and parents), a motion-simulator theater, a live circus show performed by young volunteers from the audience and a variety of other attractions. Looming nine stories above the Pier, the Pacific Wheel is the only giant Ferris wheel over water in California—and the first solar-powered Ferris wheel in the world. The unparalleled and unobstructed ocean view from the pinnacle of the Pacific Wheel’s rotation has earned it the top spot on the Automobile Club‘s “Eight Great Places to Pop the Question” in Southern California.

The first roller coaster on the Pier was built in the early 1920s. Today, highlights include the five-story West Coaster roller coaster (the West Coast’s only steel roller coaster on a pier); the Pacific Plunge, a nine-story tower ride that lifts riders 150 feet above Santa Monica Bay; Pacific Putt-Putt, the only miniature golf course over water; several kids’ rides; the Pier Pressure Zone, filled with midway games and challenges; and souvenir shops.
